WK11 – MKMMA
It’s been a busy one this week. Keeping up with our daily readings and affirmations, caring for my family–immediate and extended, working at my job, two pets in for visits to the vet (nothing serious thankfully!), and at the same time pushing forward on my PPNs has kept me hopping! Super glad that this month’s scroll is about persistence–just what I needed to hear!
I’d like to dedicate the music video below to my future self… we’re in it for the long haul!
When I look into your eyes (Gal/Guy in the Mirror!)
It’s like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well there’s so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you’ve come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?
I won’t give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up
And when you’re needing your space
To do some navigating
I’ll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find
Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We’ve got a lot to learn
God knows we’re worth it
No, I won’t give up
I don’t wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I’m here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use the tools and gifts
We got yeah we got a lot at stake
And in the end
You’re still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn’t break, we didn’t burn
We had to learn, how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I got, and what I’m not
And who I am
I won’t give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up
I’m still looking up
I won’t give up on us
God knows I’m tough, he knows
We got a lot to learn
God knows we’re worth it
I won’t give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I’m giving you all my love
I’m still looking up
This time of year is always very busy. However, even with our added activities i find this year to be more productive. I am more relaxed and I guess its because I am now actually completing what I intend to do. More focused. Thank you for posting.
So true! A big difference from the frantic, almost mindless rushing around I used to participate in! It makes a huge difference to know that the ‘busyness’ is related to my purpose. I appreciate you pointing that out, I think it will help me to add in that relaxation you’re experiencing! 🙂
Great post, Laura! I, too, am enjoying the scroll marked 3 and embracing the persistence to succeed! Thanks for your post!
You’re welcome Denise! Every time I read this scroll I think of the phrase: “I am woman, hear me roar!”
I’ve seen how hard you’ve been working this week and I’m so proud to have you as a mastermind partner to inspire me to to keep working just as hard! And what beautiful lyrics to dedicate to your future self!
Thank you Adi! I happen to know that you are already working just as hard! And I so appreciate having you as my mastermind partner too! I don’t want to have to send you a Marco Polo that I didn’t get stuff done–it’s really motivating to have that daily check-in!
I feel the same way! ?
This is one of my FAV songs, ever! It is a “stretching/ender” Jazzercise routine, and at the end where it says, “I’m giving you all my love, I’m still looking up” we end standing up, head back, arms stretched out so we are in a T. I have tears streaming down my face each time I do this routine. Thanks for sharing!
